new post

So I decided to start posting on our family blog. Hopefully everyone who has shared our adoption journey on our adopt rwanda site will follow our life journey here as well. Since being home with our daughter our life has been full... very full...

We survived an incredibly cold winter and are looking forward to warmer days as Spring approaches. We are also looking forward to enjoying the beautiful outdoors here at our rental property for the summer. This home is for sale and it will be unlikely that we will be here next fall/winter so we need to enjoy it while it lasts. I'm not looking forward to moving again but will cross that bridge when I get to it.

Espy is adjusting to our family so well. Her boisterous personality fits right in. We got her dedicated last weekend and had a pool party to celebrate. So much fun! She loves the water.

The boys are also really busy with school and sport stuff. Both got signed up for baseball/tball this summer and we can't wait! Kelton also started guitar lessons... he is picking it up fast and loving it. So cute to watch him play. I am enduring the semester of teaching lots of classes and still taking some to finish my doctorate. I will be done with coursework in two months and then will start working on my dissertation. Buster is busy selling cars at our little car lot here in town. We are unsure of where we will be this time next year, and are open to wherever God will take us.

All our love....

Flapper Party

Ok, so I am officially old...er. I turned 30 last week and here are some pictures from my super fun 30th bday party! Oh and by the way... if you are thinking my party was a smoking fest you are wrong! The cigars and such were fake props. Apparenlty they smoked in the 20's and 30's, ours were filled with baking soda :)
